I recently was asked to attend the World Council of Churches Assembly in Busan, Korea, on behalf of the World YWCA, the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance, and the WCC to help promote a new initiative on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
The initiative aims to enlist churches and church leaders in promoting healthy sexuality, reducing HIV transmission and ending stigma related to HIV status. A pressing concern is how communities can speak openly to children born with HIV who are now becoming sexually mature and hoping to safely enter into relationships and have families of their own.
Below are the 10 interviews with faith leaders and YWCA activists around the world that we’ve published as an introduction to this initiative. Here is a link to the story written about the launch event that includes some background information.
